Using Water Purifiers Gives You Bottled Water Health Without The Cost
We are always reading news reports that record the number of medicinal traces which can be found in our water supplies and it is no surprise with the amount of medication provided and used throughout the country. It is a little scary though as we all drink this water. We bathe in it, we use it to wash our clothes and of course we give it to our children to drink. Traces of medicinal products are just some of the many contaminants that can make their way into our drinking water. The older purification methods, chlorination being the main example, have been found to cause adverse side effects, and even the natural minerals in the water in some regions can cause our bodies harm over a period of time. The only way I know of being sure to protect yourself and your family is by installing a drinking water purification system in your home to clean up all the water you consume.
Should I Do It Myself or Have It Installed?
Fortunately the installation of drinking water purifiers is usually, depending on which type you purchase, a pretty straightforward affair. A purifier like the Brita water filter is simple enough because these are most often in the form of water pitchers that you have to pour water into every single time to fill it up ready for use. You also get purifiers that fit over your sink faucet which can provide a constant stream of clean and purified water as required. These examples of drinking water filters are relatively cheap, and they provide a neat and simple solution but most people find they want to replace them with something more permanent after a while.
For a more permenent and longer lasting drinking water purifier system you need one that is built right into your plumbing system. These fixed water purifying systems offer a wider range of options to clean your water, and they are, by far, more permanent and ultimately more satisfactory solutions. You will, most likely, need to change the filtration cartridges once in a while to maintain their efficiency, although there are some models that avoid this maintenance requirement. These drinking water purifiers are obviously a much more expensive option than the water filter pitcher and faucet mounted models, but you hardly have to worry about changing filters if at all.
One other type of water purification system uses distillation drinking water purifiers which work by boiling the water and collecting the vapor which rises and then cools on metal racks as condensed water liquid. This is purified water and leaves the contaminants down below. A few other popular water filtration systems include ones with UV purifiers and there are reverse osmosis systems. UV purifiers shoot ultraviolet rays through the water, cleaning it by killing off all biological agents. Reverse osmosis systems, on the other hand, use water pressure to force water through a tiny filtering screen with holes tinier than the eye can see. This catches all sorts of contaminants and has become the top standard of purification systems available on the market today. Any of these drinking water purifiers will help to clean your water up, but a reverse osmosis drinking water purifier will do the best job out of any of them.
